Ronald McDonald House Charities of British Columbia & Yukon supports thousands of families from all over the province each year in their time of greatest need. They exist because the specialization required for major medical procedures may only be available far from home. With the help of volunteers, public donations, and corporate support RMHC provides families a home away from home. It allows families to have long-term housing located nearby hospitals, eliminating driving distance and providing meaningful community support. We understand that stays at a Ronald McDonald House are stressful and require a tremendous amount of strength, support and love. When a child is seriously ill, we know that having family nearby during treatment can help sick children get stronger. If we can help parents with their time, it will be with aiding them with what we know best – comfort.
This week we are proud to contribute 25 Leather La-Z-Boy chairs to furnish their facility near BC Children’s Hospital. These chairs will provide comfortable seating for the thousands of people who pass through those doors.
