This season, two incredible reclining collections have arrived, and they’re already creating a buzz across Canada: The Acadia and The Quinault.
Meet the Acadia
The Acadia is a power-only reclining style designed with true zero-gravity seating. That means your feet can actually elevate above your heart, helping decompress your spine, lower blood pressure, and create a feeling of weightless support. - Blocky wooden legs that make it look like a stationary sofa—nobody will know it reclines!
And the details? They’re just as thoughtful. The reclining and headrest controls are hidden inside the arm for a clean look, plus you’ll find a USB port to keep your devices powered up.
The Acadia is considered a tall-scale sofa, best suited for those 5’10” to 6’2″. It has deep seats, ideal for long legs—or for anyone (like me!) who loves curling up under a blanket.
Even better, the Acadia is available in fabric, leather, or leather match—making it versatile for every style and budget. Its sleek design truly shines in leather, which is durable, easy to maintain, and timelessly stylish. If you have kids, pets, or just love that modern, polished look, leather might be your perfect match.
Because of its streamlined design, the Acadia looks beautiful in open spaces with high ceilings and large windows, or anywhere the back of the sofa is visible. Keep in mind: it requires about 9 inches from the wall for full recline.
Power it through an AC outlet or upgrade with an optional battery pack for flexible placement. AND it’s available as a loveseat and chair!Â
Meet the Quinault
The Quinault is like the Acadia’s stylish little sister—perfect for apartments and smaller spaces.
Measuring 73” wide and only 34” deep, it’s a compact reclining sofa that doesn’t compromise on comfort or design. Like the Acadia, it features advanced zero-gravity seating, a power tilt headrest, and sleek, modern lines.
Here’s what makes the Quinault stand out:
- A tall foam box-border back and headrest for maximum comfort
- A waterfall chaise seat and footrest with clean, contemporary lines
- Bold track arms for a modern aesthetic
- And my favourite detail: blocky wood legs that elevate the design (literally and visually!)
Those legs make the Quinault feel airy and less bulky—an especially important feature in smaller spaces. It looks more like a chic stationary sofa than the big, overstuffed recliners people often associate with La-Z-Boy.
Like the Acadia, the Quinault keeps its power buttons discreetly hidden inside the arm, includes USB ports, and offers an optional battery pack for cord-free flexibility. Both sides recline independently, so everyone gets their own perfect level of comfort.
