Employee Training and Facility Eco-Plans
Our employees at EFEC-registered plants are trained to understand and manage their facility’s environmental impact. We’ve developed specific plans for energy, water, and waste reduction at each facility. Our EFEC-registered sites include the La-Z-Boy USA Branded Manufacturing plants, La-Z-Boy Casegoods (Kincaid, American Drew, and Hammary), and our LEED-certified World Headquarters in Monroe, Michigan. Notably, our Cut and Sew Center in Saltillo, Mexico, was the first international facility in our industry to achieve EFEC registration.
Monitoring and Data Collection
Our corporate office diligently monitors utility data (electricity, natural gas, water, and wastewater) for our operations, including La-Z-Boy Branded Manufacturing, La-Z-Boy Casegoods U.S. operations, Distribution Centers, corporate-owned Retail stores, and our World Headquarters. We also track waste and recycling data, focusing on increasing data collection for other business units.
La-Z-Boy was honored with the 2020 ASCM (Association for Supply Chain Management) Award of Excellence for Making an Impact Through the Supply Chain.
